I highly recommend a discussion at the Chicago Booth Management Conference 2010 with Eugene Fama and David Booth. Eugene Fama must be already well known to readers of my blog. He is a professor of finance at the University of Chicago and father of the Efficient Market Theory (EMH) that is the base for passive investing. David Booth was Fama’s student. They currently cooperate at Dimensional Fund Advisors, a money management copmany managing approximately 160 billion USD in passive mutual funds.
The discussion lasts 50 minutes but it is definetly worth the time. Both gentlemen talk about the future of money management, foundations of passive investing, towards the end they answer questions from audience. I am sure the video will be a good invested time.
